About
Joe is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. During his service, he deployed as a member of a close protection team in trouble spots in the 2nd Marine Division AO. He also served on Security Augmentation Teams for Naval Facilities. During his service, he attended the notorious Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center for both the Winter and Summer survival courses.
After active service, Joe worked in personal protection and corporate investigations in the business world, protecting executives at Stroh’s Brewing and The Amway Corporation, and serving as an Organized Retail Crime investigator for Target Corporation, Lord & Taylor, KMart/Sears Holdings, and The Bon Ton Stores. During this time, Joe became a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Forensic Interviewer. Joe represented the Target Corporation on the Detroit Metro Identity Fraud Task Force with Federal, State, and Local law enforcement partners.
During the GWOT, Joe and another USMC veteran formed a Private Military Contractor security company to support operations and businesses in hostile zones as a way to continue serving. Joe is a Blackwater/US Training Center alumnus. Joe currently works as an independent contractor in the protection field.
No, Joe does NOT know what color the boathouse is at Hereford, but he can tell you about the water at Camp LeJeune.
Joe is a KyoSaNim or Certified Instructor in the Korean Martial Art of Tang Soo Do, as well as being a Krav Maga instructor. He holds a Second-Degree (EeDan) black belt in TSD, and a black belt in Krav Maga (Level 5).

Joe conducts training classes on a wide variety of preparedness and self-defense topics. The minimum class size is generally 6-8 people.
Joe also offers site security reviews and training for businesses, as well as home preparedness surveys and defensive plan development.
