It’s Time, Christians

I won’t share photos or video here, but over the weekend, as Pride Month got into full swing, we saw footage of allegedly “Family Friendly Drag Shows” at adult bars all over the country. As if a strip show is ever “Family Friendly”. The videos included small children sticking money in the underwear of stripping drag queens, as proud parents made videos and cheered the little ones on.

I don’t normally do this on here, but I am COMPELLED to today. This is PURE EVIL and we are DOING NOTHING about it. Now, to be fair, some protestors arrived at one in Dallas and called the Dallas Police. The police made the children leave, and then made the protestors leave. No law enforcement action was taken for child endangerment, performing a sexually explicit show in front of minors, or for bars allowing children to see the shows.

OK, that seems pretty clear about what God thinks of them and what He will do, but what are we as Christians called to do in this environment? What does God expect of us? Again, he gave us the answer already:

Rescue those being led away to death;

hold back those staggering toward slaughter.

Proverb 24:11

Seems clear: We are to stop it.

On Friday, a news story came out that America was “under siege” by Christian fundamentalists. The basis for this claim, according to the story? Our opposition to exposing children to sexuality and transgenderism at pre-school ages. There is a campaign again against Christian values and you need to decide what you will do about it.

What do you suppose God wants you to do about it? Christianity is plagued with this erroneous belief that Christians are supposed to be pacificists and “go along to get along”. To illustrate how wrong this is, I present as evidence testimony from the mouth of Jesus Christ Himself:

Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth.

I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Matthew 10:34

We are commanded to stand up against injustice, sexual immorality, and ESPECIALLY for the “little ones”. We are to defend the weak and help the helpless. We are not to just sit idly by and do nothing.

We must be vocal. We must get out in the streets, just like they are. We must DEMAND accountability of our elected leaders. We must DEMAND that civil servants like police do their jobs.

I know, it’s a scary time and everyone is thinking about what happened to the January 6th protestors. They are still in jail to evoke EXACTLY THAT RESPONSE in you. It’s not about Trump or the election; it’s about preventing resistance to the march of tyranny that is expanding across our nation.

You have a choice. Make a stand on your principles or shut up and allow yourself to be enslaved and future generations be condemned by immorality. Guess what? There is some guidance about this too:

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. 

Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Galatians 5:1

Friends, build a tribe. Gather food and supplies. Get out and make your voice heard. Do not go gently into that dark night.
