The Current Environment

The current environment is dangerous, and getting more so every day. We are seeing more signs of division and potential Balkanization, and, by their actions, it would seem that government at all levels is doing everything they can to make that happen.

Before we get too deep into the evidence and what we can do to prepare for it, let’s remind everyone of our favorite piece of Tactical Wisdom:

First, in Philadelphia, a group called Patriot Front marched and clashed with ANTIFA counter-protestors. Patriot Front is a newer group that allegedly espouses White Supremacy, so at first glance, one would say who cares if they got beat up. But, groups like Patriot Front signal growing division and potential actual civil conflict. Vile white supremacist groups are the natural outgrowth of Critical Race Theory. If you constantly vilify one group, it will band together and act out in mutual defense.

On the other side of the coin, 11 members of the Moorish American Arms were arrested for weapons violations in a blatant overreach of state authority in Massachusetts. No one has really explained what illegal activity led to the police contact, but both the police and the Moors acted silly, driving the tension up. The point of telling this tale is that here is another racially-based separatist group, preparing for violent conflict, again upping the risk of a civil conflict.

Notably, in the Philadelphia case, the police were absent, allowing the two groups to fight it out in the streets for hours, increasing the risk of conflict. In the Massachusetts case, the group was being non-violent, and we saw police engage in questionable enforcement tactics, which increased the risk of a violent encounter.

Is there a pattern of government action or non-action, that is leading to increased risk of civil conflict in the US? This is not a conspiracy theory website, and I’ve debunked a few, but the question needs to be asked.

On the west coast, we saw citizens lawfully protest at the Wi Spa, against them allowing a biological male to expose himself to young girls inside their facility. That is inherently lawful activity. ANTIFA militants showed up and conducted multiple felony assaults, unarmed robberies, and at least one arson. The only person seen arrested was a man who, while being assaulted by ANTIFA, struck an ANTIFA attacker with his water bottle to stop the attack.

This response seems to indicate, again, that the lawlessness is tolerated, but resisting the lawlessness is not.

One last tale, before we go. In Mt Laurel, New Jersey, protestors surrounded the house of a man that locals claim used a racial slur against a neighbor. They didn’t allege anything more than words. Over 100 people surrounded his house and demanded he come out, throwing objects and threatening him. When the police arrived, they arrested HIM for harassment. His house was surrounded by a threatening mob, and he was arrested. After the police left, predictably, his house was vandalized by the mob, with the police watching.

I know it’s easier to arrest him, than the mob, but his words, while vile, are PROTECTED. When the police start arresting people to appease the mob, we’ve lost this place.

We’re not going to draw conclusions here, because this is a preparedness site, and we’re into intelligence sharing. These responses are all facts, not opinions.

Before we get into preparedness actions you can take, I want to share a piece of Tactical Wisdom with any law enforcement officers who happen across this article. Heed it well:

If a man vows a vow to the Lord, or swears an oath to bind himself by a pledge, he shall not break his word. He shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

Numbers 30:2

Now, the Oath sworn by all military personnel and law enforcement officers contains a pledge to uphold the Constitution. The 14th Amendment guarantees Equal Protection to all, even if you don’t like their ideology, the words they say, the color of their skin, or the group they belong to. Heed it.

As far as preparedness, you need to ensure that you have a solid communications plan with all of your loved ones, that doesn’t rely solely on cell phones or the internet. We recommend radios of whatever type you prefer. Getting an Amateur or GMRS license are good ideas, but if you don’t want to, then FRS, MURS, and CB are available to all without a license. CB has gotten a bad rap, but it’s virtually empty out there for anyone to use. I recommend a good SSB type, like the Bearcat 980 SSB.

One of the most important preparedness actions you can take is to sign up for the ForwardObserver service at http://www.forwardobserver.com. It’s where I get most of my intelligence and they do also offer a free service, however, the paid service is worth EVERY PENNY.

Keep your vehicle prepared. Keep the gas tank full and keep a change of clothes/shoes in the car. Water and non-perishable foods are also good ideas. Don’t put political or firearms related stickers on your car, they invite damage…Be Gray.

In this environment, you should always have a “Get Home Bag” in the car, as discussed in the Base Line Training Manual.

The most important lesson you need to take from these events is that the police cannot be relied on to protect you, and you cannot rely on the law either. In other words, we have been seeing for a year people arrested for lawful self-defense and attackers not being arrested. This is further evidence that government forces exist to protect ITSELF, nothing more. Do not rely on anyone but yourself.
